Mission and Goals
The mission of the Health Services Administration program is to prepare students with and without health care experience to become competent leaders in health care administration.
Goals:
- Prepare individuals for entry or mid-level management positions in hospitals, group practices, ambulatory and long-term care facilities, insurance companies, state and county departments of health, and other health-related organizations.
- Develop management, technical, financial, problem-solving, and human relations skills that provide the educational foundation for future healthcare administrators and leaders.
- Foster practical educational experiences and promote interaction among students, alumni, and mentors in area and regional healthcare organizations.
- Educate culturally and ethically competent healthcare leaders who will advocate for fairness and equity in health among diverse populations.
