Criminal Justice Studies
The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies Degree provides students with an understanding of the American criminal justice system and the institutions and personnel which comprise the criminal justice system. Students are required to complete 21 credit hours in the core requirements and then select additional coursework from three concentrations: corrections, law enforcement, or pre-law. In addition to the degree program the CJS Departments offers a number of certification programs for students needing documentation of professional knowledge in the field. Internships (CJS 491) are an option for pre-service students. All majors must complete CJS 490, a capstone course.
