Choosing a college is a big decision. As you get to know Lincoln College-Normal, you will discover that we are more than just a place to learn; we are a community. Lincoln College-Normal students have the opportunity to excel academically while learning the importance of productive group dynamics and social responsibility. Central to our core mission is providing learning experiences that empower you to become engaged and enthusiastic learners.
Our admissions process is extremely holistic, personal and individualized. We take this approach because we believe that it is very important for both the prospective student and the College to thoughtfully consider the “fit” of student and college. That is, how Lincoln College-Normal fits the student’s educational and personal needs, as well as whether the student is a good fit on campus academically and socially.
We hope that you will schedule a visit to our campus soon and let the Lincoln College-Normal experience speak for itself (hint – it’s the people). Our campus visit includes a tour of our academic building, where you will have an opportunity to tour our classrooms and labs, and maybe even sit in and observe a class session. Later in the tour, you will also see first-hand the “luxe life” of on-campus Apartment Suite housing, and pay a visit to our Student Commons, where there’s always something fun going on like sponsored events or programs, popcorn and movies on the big screen, a round of pool, video games, or a workout in the Fitness Center.
The surrounding Bloomington-Normal community has a variety of activities and experiences to offer including professional sporting events, amazing parks, the Constitution Trail (over 24 miles of trails to bike, run, and walk), performing arts venues, galleries, movie theatres, and the cool shopping centres of Uptown Normal, Shoppes at College Hills, and Eastland Mall. Having been a part of the Bloomington-Normal community for many years, we look forward to sharing our community’s hidden treasures with you.
