Regular Admission
Acceptance to the Bachelor Program is based on the successful completion of an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree (or equivalent). Students may enter at the beginning of any semester.
International Students
Students whose primary language is not English must take the Test of English
as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination and have their scores sent to
Lincoln College - Normal. Any international student with a score of
500 or higher on the paper-based TOEFL, 173 on the computer based TOEFL
or 61 on the Internet, and who meets the other admission criteria, may be
admitted. Students whose TOEFL scores are lower may be granted provisional
acceptance if space is available.
Provisional Admission
To be eligible for Provisional Admission, a student must be within a reasonable number of hours of completing an Associate in Arts degree, Associate in Science degree, or the equivalent of either. Each student's admission will be judged individually based on his or her circumstances. Upon successful completion of the Associate degree (or equivalent), full admission is granted to the student. If the appropriate Associate degree (or equivalent) is not successfully completed within the date specified in the Admissions process, the provisional admission into the Baccalaureate degree program will be revoked.
Notes: A person who has completed work for an Associate degree or its equivalent, or who will do so within one year at an accredited institution, may apply for the Bachelors program.
Hours that were applied toward the awarding of an Associate degree will not count toward a Bachelors degree.
