Admissions Coordinator
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities as the Admissions Coordinator is to work with the staff for Lincoln College-Normal and Midwest College of Cosmetology; database and file management for all applications across all programs; word processing needs associated with admissions (such as application status responses, general correspondence); coordinating a part-time staff of student workers on such tasks as mailers, clerical work, & phone calls; assisting with campus visits, open houses, move-in days, registration days; maintaining the ACT residual exam materials, coordinating admissions records with other campus offices (financial aid, registrar, housing, etc) as well as with the Lincoln campus. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications: This position requires a detail oriented individual who possesses outstanding people skills and interpersonal communication skills. The individual must also have the ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high degree of accuracy. Successful candidate must demonstrate individual initiative and observe high standards of personal and professional integrity.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Jenzabar as well as prior work in a higher education setting. An Associate’s degree with bachelor’s degree preferred.

Assistant Professor Position in the Bachelor of Business Administration Program
Lincoln College-Normal, Illinois, invites applicants to apply for a tenure track Assistant Professor Position in the Bachelor of Business Administration Program. Lincoln College-Normal, located in Normal, Illinois, is a private, baccalaureate degree granting college, and is a branch campus of Lincoln College, in Lincoln, Illinois. Lincoln College, chartered in 1865, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in business management, or a related field, and evidence of successful undergraduate teaching. Candidates who are A.B.D. and have extensive academic experience will be considered. Candidates who have a master's degree in business management, or a related field, may also be considered. Candidates with a master's degree will be expected to pursue a doctorate degree, and demonstrate ongoing progress in the attainment of that degree. The successful candidate will have the following:
- experience working with adult/non-traditional learners in accelerated and online delivery formats,
- experience in the development of program curriculum,
- familiarity with assessment of programs and student learning outcomes,
- experience teaching a variety of management courses,
- the ability to work in a small, collegial environment, and
- the ability to provide academic and career advice to students.
The successful candidate will be energetic and creative and will have the ability to shape the on-going development of the business program in response to new potential markets and improvements in program curriculum.
The teaching load for this 9-month position is four courses per semester. The balance of the workload will be curriculum development, participation in program marketing and promotion, working with learning outcomes assessment, and networking with community and professional contacts.
The starting date for this position is August, 2008 or sooner. The position is open until filled. Salary will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications.

Director of Residential and Student Life
Division: Student Affairs
Contract Period: 12 months, live-on position
Reporting to: Dean of Student Affairs and Campus Operations, LCN
Position Availability: As early as June 1, 2008
Requirements
The applicant must:
- Possess a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration or a related discipline.
- Possess a minimum of three years of professional supervisory experience in the Student Personnel Administration field
- Demonstrate knowledge of student development theory and ability to apply that knowledge to student support systems and services on campus.
- Show strengths in program planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Show the ability to implement short and long range departmental goals.
- Have proficiency in a variety of computer applications, including word processing and presentation software.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Dean of Student Affairs and Campus Operations, the Director will:
- Maintain and manage five residential facilities which accommodate approximately 200 students.
- Oversee budget management for residential and student life areas.
- Work with the Assistant Director of Residential and Student Life to select, train, and supervise Graduate Resident Assistants (GA’s) on staff.
- Work with the Assistant Director of Residential and Student Life and the GA’s to select, train, and supervise student Resident Assistants (RA’s) on staff.
- Oversee daily operations in the Residential and Student Life offices.
- Respond to psychological, medical, and maintenance emergencies by acting within established emergency protocols.
- Serve as the primary judicial officer for all violations of the student code of conduct for residential students.
- Work scheduled duty nights to ensure campus order and safety.
- Prepare reports including health and safety rounds, RA and GA performance appraisals, incident reports, housing occupancy reports, etc.
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of orientation activities for residential students
- Work with local agencies and community organizations on issues promoting health, safety, personal and academic success for LCN campus community members and local area in general.
- Pursue grant opportunities related to student wellness (i.e. AOD Education and Prevention) and other issues which promote student development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
