Lincoln College – Normal Presents the 2008 Criminal Justice Studies Symposium on Nov. 18

Normal, Ill. – Lincoln College -Normal (LCN) is hosting the 2008 Criminal Justice Studies Symposium on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 7p.m., Room 114, on the college campus located at 714 W. Raab Road.  The event, which is free and open to the public, will include a keynote address by Illinois State University Chief of Police Ronald Swan who will discuss the historic Peoria race riots. An event which ultimately led to the formation of the first chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)  within the United States  being located in Bloomington, Illinois.

LCN offers a variety of bachelor’s and associate’s degrees including a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Studies. This symposium will also include presentations by graduating seniors of the Criminal Justice studies program as they present their senior seminar projects on a variety of criminal justice –related issues affecting the McLean County community.  Student topics include:
