Lincoln College – Normal Students Selected for Membership into National Honor Society
Normal, IL. – Lincoln College – Normal (LCN) is pleased announce 26 current students were selected for induction into Alpha Sigma Lambda, the premier national honor society for non-traditional adult students.
These students, hailing from a wide variety of academic disciplines, will be honored during a reception on Sunday, January 25, 2 p.m., in the Student Commons building on the Lincoln College – Normal campus.
Founded in 1945, by Dr. Rollin B. Posey, Dean of University College at Northwestern University, Alpha Sigma Lambda is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and recognizes high scholastic achievement among adult learners. Many of whom achieve academic excellence while balancing the competing interests of home and professional careers.
Today there are over 300 chartered chapters throughout the United States. To this day Alpha Sigma Lambda is not only the oldest, but also the largest, chapter-based honor society for full- and part-time students. More information can be found at www.alphasigmalambda.org.
