Lincoln College Normal Reducing Waste and Helping the Environment
Normal, Ill. – April 22 is Earth Day. As part of an ongoing effort to reduce waste, Lincoln College - Normal enacted a campus-wide recycling program.
In addition to recycling, there are lots of other ways students and faculty can help reduce our carbon footprint. Most help your pocketbook too!
- Join a carpool or ride a bike to campus
- Turn off the lights when you leave a room.
- Power-down your computer at the end of the day
- Print two-sided copies whenever possible, or scan and e-mail documents instead of using handouts
- Use a Toner Recycling Program
Anyone interested in forming a Sustainability Committee to evaluate more ways to reduce waste on campus should contact Melissa Rohlfs at Rohlfs@lincolncollege.edu or 309.268.4902.
