Placement, Registration, and Orientation Period (PROP)
Going to college is exciting, inspiring, and even challenging, it shouldn't however be overwhelming. Our PROP sessions are specifically designed to welcome you and teach you how to navigate college life.
We are committed to assisting you in what promises to be a great beginning to your career at Lincoln College-Normal. We look forward to hosting you and your family on our campus for this event. You will leave LC-N with your class schedule for Fall Semester 2010!
What do I need to do before I can attend a PROP session? To be eligible to attend PROP and secure your classes for fall 2010, you must be admitted to the college and the Office of Admissions must have record of your enrollment deposit ($50) and housing deposit for residential students ($200). To deposit today, please call the Office of Admissions at (800) 569-0558. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
During PROP you will:
- Take placement tests
- Register for classes
- Meet other students and faculty
- Visit with representatives of campus services and programs
Review the PROP student and parent/guardian schedules.
PROP is a MANDATORY program for all incoming freshmen, but it's also a lot of fun!
Students that attend the orientation learn first-hand what they need to know in order to be successful at Lincoln College-Normal. They also enjoy early registration for classes.
At LC-N, we appreciate how valuable the entire family's support is to the student’s academic success. Therefore, while it is not mandatory for family members to attend PROP, it is highly encouraged.
Tip: Fall 2010 courses and P.R.O.P. 2010 sessions fill quickly…to ensure that you have the class schedule of your choice, reserve your spot in an early P.R.O.P. session. Questions concerning orientation should be directed to lcn_prop@lincolncollege.edu or (800) 569-0558.
Register for your PROP session now!
