For the past 20 years has been employed with the Illinois Department of Corrections. Career started as a Correctional Officer. Positions held have included Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and presently Case Work Supervisor. From 1989 to 2003 served in the elected capacity as Lincoln City Alderman.

Actively involved in youth recreational programs in the community.
