What Everyone Should Know About Islam
Approximately one-fifth of the world’s population is Muslim, and many Midwestern Americans have never met one nor had a conversation with one about what Muslims believe. It might be surprising to some to find that, despite centuries-old animosity, Jews, Christians, and Muslims have a shared history and heritage that bring them closer together than what might be imagined. Todd Spellman looks at the most common misconceptions about Islam, defines the scope and variety of belief within the Muslim community, surveys the core pillars of Islamic faith, and explores the shared history between Christianity and Islam, the two largest faith groups in the world.
