If you or your spouse work for a company that matches gifts to colleges and universities, your gift to Lincoln College could be doubled or even tripled. Many matching gift companies continue to match gifts made by retired employees. Simply obtain a matching gift form from your personnel office, follow the instructions for initiating the match and send the completed form with your gift. We will complete the school’s portion of the form and return it to the company to initiate their fulfillment of the match. Matched gifts received on your behalf also count toward your recognition level in Lincoln College’s Giving Clubs.
An In-kind gift is the donation of goods or services that would otherwise cost the College money. The donor receives credit for the fair market value of the gift. In-kind gifts allow the College to redirect the funds that would be spent on those goods and services to other needs. For more information about making an In-kind gift, please contact the Advancement Office.
Stock or Property Gifts
Appreciated stocks and securities make excellent gifts and often provide more tax advantages than cash gifts. The current value is the tax deductible value of the gift. Through gifts of stock to the College, you can enjoy the benefits of giving, while getting a tax deduction without depleting your checking account or personal investments.
Estate or Planned Gifts
Fulfill your personal, financial, and estate planning goals while ensuring a successful future for Lincoln College. A planned gift enables you to assist Lincoln College in its educational mission while also reducing your burden of income, capital gains or estate taxes. We will be happy to work with you to select the best methods and assets for making a gift, such as cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, trusts, and bequests.
Faculty and Staff Payroll gifts
As a member of the Lincoln College community, you can direct your gift to support either the Lincoln or the Normal campus. You can direct your gift to a specific program, department or scholarship, or you can leave it unrestricted to be used for the College’s most urgent needs and highest priorities. You can make an on-line gift, or arrange to give through payroll deduction by submitting the Employee Payroll Deduction form. If you have questions, contact Annual Fund Coordinator Cynthia Kelley at (217) 732-3155 ext. 219 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
